I’ve known Katy for several years so, when I got Katy’s email I almost jumped out of my chair… Katy was getting married!! (and wanted to know if I would consider telling her story.) I knew it would be special, I knew she would trust me, I knew that she would be as excited about capturing sweet moments and details as I was- there was no question, I was shooting her wedding! She told me about James and how their love story unfolded. I thanked God that He is works ALL things together for good- and that He was waiting for the perfect season to cross these two hearts… and that he made James for Katy.
The Ranch house was fantastic. It was perfectly styled and infused with quirky knick knacks & smart design. It was the perfect place for a small ceremony and intimate reception. I don’t know if there are words for the fun I had this afternoon. There is something really great about being surrounded with a handful of people that LOVE each other and friends that SERVE each other. I knew Katy “got” me… but when I walked in and the first thing she said was, “Did you see the Cadillac?? I KNEW you would love it!” um, yes, as a matter of fact I did… and and YES, i LOVED it.
Top it off with the circle of client love I was surrounded by and it just doesn’t get much better. Katy is the nucleus of serious circle of word of mouth marketing… she found my blog years ago and shared it with Hillary & Bob > who booked me to tell their wedding story > and modeled for a CRASHcourse (Hey Hillary and Bob!!) > she then shared my blog with Christi (also at the wedding with her fam) who attended a CRASHcourse > and became one of the most supportive and encouraging portrait clients EVER > aaaand she attended a CRASHcourse > and became a portrait client herself… and the list goes on.
Incredible work went into the day… Thank you to all of the wedding talent!
